This photograph was captured from above a cruise liner docked in the port of Split, Croatia, using a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Shooting from a strict vertical perspective allowed me to transform a functional ship deck into a structured, almost graphic composition.

The image contrasts two adjacent pools: one filled with swimmers and movement, the other completely empty. This visual tension between presence and absence became the conceptual core of the work. The turquoise deck acts as a clean, minimalist background, while the white pool frames and deep blue water create strong geometric separation. Human figures introduce scale and narrative, but remain secondary to the architectural order.

As a large print, the photograph performs exceptionally well. The saturated color fields, crisp lines, and fine surface details gain depth at scale, making it ideal for contemporary interiors that favor minimalism, clarity, and bold visual structure.
