Are those the true colors? it feels like bubblegum!
Yes, and I even Desaturated it, so it wont be so “bubblegum :D. Just felt right this way
I think this is such a higher quality photo over the Tykky Tree you posted. The other has a minimalist feel, but it also has an abstract feel to it. Almost feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be. This one on the other hand, is clear and concise. Minimal colours, like you would find up there (similar to here in Alberta, Canada!) And you get all those BEAUTIFUL pastel colours in the sky. I love that this is just the ambient, bounced light from the sun bouncing off the atmosphere before it comes up (or after it sets). When it can only hit those high level clouds and turn them pastel pink. I'm glad you didn't post one where the sun was hitting the tree. I think that may have ruined it for me. Not to mention the phenomenal positioning you took and the clouds worked out soooooo well for you! Diminishing into the distance and becoming a perfect leading line surrounding the subject. Excellent work!
Thank you for kind words 🙏.
I was so lucky with this shot…
Here is a little backstory from my Instagram:
“Cold winter morning at Lapland can give us spectacular views!
This is the result when almost everything line together.
I was almost giving up, because sky was so cloudy on the way to my destination… stopped on the way, already was looking where else could I go… but then decided to drive few more kilometres. And it was right decision. Sky opened up and gave me this beautiful view!”
It was a cold morning, about -20C outside.
Had to walk in deep, over the knee deep snow. But it was all worth it 👌!
