Taken about 15 minutes from my house. This pumpjack has been turned off for years. It's just south of a small hamlet but that hamlet is close enough to provide just a little bit of light to illuminate the pumpjack and still allowed me to be silhouetted with the night sky and I happened to just be positioned under the Milky Way perfectly on the first try! I've taken a few Milky Way photos but this one is by far one of my best and favourites.
