The photo was captured with a Nikon Z6ii and a Nikon 70-200mm lens outside the Israeli Consulate in Atlanta, GA.
I am a portrait photographer who specializes in boudoir and fitness photography, so taking the perspective of photojournalist was new to me entirely. That being said, the setup was far more simple than my normal set-up - natural light within one hour of sundown. I photographed the most vocal, emotional and vibrant personality of the group as she situated herself on a concrete planter, raising the Palestinian flag. Editing was more minimal than usual too with simple color toning for slight added warmth and a small boost to the contrast.
