This is photo, I wanted to create a still life that faded towards black.

I used a Nikon d850 with a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. Manual mode, 200mm, f/16, 1/250 of a second and ISO 100. It was lit with a Godox soft box, with a grid, along with a Godox V860ii flash.

The biggest challenge while shooting this was to get the lighting as low as possible, while maintaining a very dark, but not completely black, “edge”, to both the squash and bowl in the shadow area.

Hey Serge, I like your thoughts on this photos, although, I think if you were to brighten up the lighting this photo would stand out more, bringing it to life. Just my thought...

Thank you, Don, for taking the time to comment! Much appreciated!! :) Although I wanted it to be "dark/moody", I can see where your advice would allow it "breathe" a bit more and come to life. Thanks again for the critique!
