I captured this buck at first peak of the sun over the horizon, when one side of the deer was beautifully highlighted. The shot was made easier because the animal was in a fenced-in area. Taken with a Canon 7D and a Canon 70-200 2.8 L lens. ISO 100, f stop 2.8, focal length 200mm, and shutter speed 1/500. Edited into a black-and-white using Lightroom and Nik Collections film noir effect.
