Every year Samba Fogo, a brazilian dance and music culture group in Utah, puts on a show at the Rose Wagner theater. From the very back of the auditorium, I shot this picture at 1/10th of a second at f/2.8 and ISO 2000 on a Sony a7iv using the Sony 70-200/2.8 at 110mm. Most of my pictures that evening were around 1/200th of a second and up around ISO 8000 or more because of the dark theater. I selected 1/10th of a second for a series of action shots where I wanted to see motion blur on the fire she was twirling. What amazes me about this shot is how still she had to have held her body even while her arms were wildly in motion.
