My on-going project is something I've always been fascinated with - barbershops around the world. They speak directly of a culture, are a deeply-rooted meeting place for community, and all speak of where they are in design and construction - some cobbled together, some more traditional, and some without any walls at all. While I don't set out looking for them, they're just everywhere and I love photographing them. This image was taken in Vietnam in 2008 with a Nikon D200 (hey - it was a while ago!) with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. Shot at 1/80th sec @ F/2.0, ISO 500.
