52 years later, still magnificent.
.
After 52 years, I’m finally back at Mont-Saint-Michel.
.
The moment I stepped inside those walls, all those memories came flooding back.
.
I still remembered it all.
The narrow streets.
The little shops filled with armour and swords.
The crowds moving between the ancient walls.
And my father holding my hand tightly, making sure I did not get lost as we explored the Mont together.
.
More than half a century later, I walked those same streets again.
Older now.
With a camera in my hand—and the memory of his hand still holding mine.
.
And there it was, just as I remembered it.
Imposing.
Majestic.
Rising almost impossibly from the vast landscape, standing unshaken against the tides and the centuries.
.
For a moment, this was more than a return to an extraordinary place.
It was a journey back to the little boy I once was—and to an adventure with my dad that time could never take away.
