How to Choose Your First Camera

Buying your first camera is one of the most exciting and important things you will do on the road to becoming a photographer, but with so many options out there, it might be a little overwhelming to try to choose the right one for you. If you are wondering where to start, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will show you everything you need to know to make the right decision.

Coming to you from Chris Turner Photographer, this awesome video tutorial will show you how to choose your first camera. One important thing to remember is that if you have a limited budget, it is much better to spend more money on the lens than the camera body. The camera body absolutely matters, both in terms of capabilities and image quality, but if given the choice between an older sensor with a high-quality lens or a newer camera with a middling lens, you will absolutely get better image quality with the superior lens than you would with the better sensor. A good lens can last your career and generally will not depreciate anywhere near as quickly as a camera will. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Turner.
