Constant video lights have come a long way in the last few years, providing more power, higher quality, and quieter operation. This great video review takes a look at one such light, the Godox SL150W II.
Coming to you from Wes Perry, this awesome video review takes a look at the Godox SL150W II video light. Godox has become well known and rather popular by offering a range of quality lights at very reasonable prices, and the SL150W II continues that tradition, coming in at $339. One of its most notable improvements over the first version is the quieter fan, which is, of course, a crucial feature for anyone using it to shoot video. Beyond that, it also features the following:
- 150 watts of output (58,000 lux at 1 m)
- Daylight-balanced 5,600 K color temperature (±200 K variance)
- Full dimming from 0 to 100%
- Remote control
- Wireless system
- CRI of 96
- Dimensions: 6.3 x 7.9 x 13.4"
- Weight: 6.61 lbs (3 kg)
Altogether, the SL150W II looks to be a nice refinement over the first version that offers good performance for filmmakers. If you need a bit more power, Godox also makes a 200-watt version, the SL200W II, which retails for $100 more than the SL150W II. Check out the video above for Perry's full thoughts.
