Parachute jump, Coney Island

Just pulling away from the minimal theme for a moment. This is a shot I took of the famous 'Parachute Jump' ride on a recent visit to Coney Island. Closed and abandoned for decades, the ride remains a notable landmark of the Coney Island boardwalk.

This is another example of the Ventosa/In the Round process, with around 15 or so images overlaid and blended.
Although lacking the character that trees provide as a subject, I do feel that this offers a perspective of the attraction that may not be seen otherwise.

Recognizing that this is by no means portfolio-worthy, I'd love to hear what you guys feel about this. Simply an experiment and fun to do, I am very open to all sorts of criticism as long as it's sincere.

Update 7/23
As suggested by Dean I have added a second image with a little interest in the sky. To help blend with the feel of the image motion blur was added to the sky layer.
Thoughts always welcomed.

Mr. Brown... your photo is an exact replication of how I feel after 99% of the carnival rides I have ever been on. Even a simple swing can set my stomach in lurches!

That being said, albeit T.M.I., I truly love the distortion (blur) has enough structural clarity for identification and the red stands out against the cloudless blue sky.

My minds eye cannot believe a partially cloudy (or epic) sky would benefit the composition.

Truly not an over processed image.

Thank you for posting.

Thanks for the suggestion Dean - see the 2nd image.

BTW - I haven't been able to stand any rides myself that spin/twist for a number of years now - it must be an age thing!

Your second image brings to mind a Plasma Ball. I wonder if it's achievable?

I do like the bit of seasoning that the sky adds. Nice work, Alan.
