August Abstract, Part 1: Wood

All these photos involved using extension tube and in-camera multiple exposures.

Photo 1: is a simple double exposure of the Hardie Plank Lap Siding on the entry way of our home. The morning sun was casting a small shadow.

Photo 2: is another simple double exposure of cedar wall in the primary bathroom at home.

Photo 3: is the same location but using four exposures. The thin dark lines are the shadow in the space between two pieces on cedar.

I love the textures in #2 & #3 Dean.

I am wondering what #3 might have looked like had you used a long exposure and stopped at various points in the movement (what I call multi-imprint).
Using that method you preserve the high contrast lines at each rest, but get a sense of movement in-between. Just another option to think about.

Another successful experiment! I really like these. They are worthy to hang on a wall as an abstract. Nice work and great explanations.
