Morning Reflections

An other of those places that I no longer divulge the location of. I first walked into the place in the early 90's, 93 I think. It was a job of work to find it, and not an easy hike. BTW, I once broke my leg walking into this place when I slipped on some moss and landed on my lower leg, breaking it. Very gruesome at the time since I could stand on the leg and rotate 180 degrees without moving the foot! A very kind man, I think it was an angel actually - at least he was to me - offered to carry my pack out, the approximately 3 miles to trailhead, and I never saw the man again. However I did receive a snapshot in the mail of me walking out after the incident. So you can judge for yourself.

I will say though that this area is kind of dangerous and I see multiple reports almost every summer of people walking in and dying in the process from heat stroke or dehydration, or both. And that says nothing of the rattlesnakes and scorpions, denizens of the desert, on the prowl for fools that over estimate their capabilities and their cell phones effectiveness. After all, a coyote has to eat!

I used a Toyo 45A camera, 90mm Sinaron lens with a UV-15 filter and Kodak E-100G film. The conversion to black and white was done using Photoshop only. No apps were injured in the creation of this photograph.
