A Wing and a Wave

As I wander the back country in the deserts of the Southwest there are hundreds of marvelous things to find. I walked across a sandstone bench, over a batch of blow sand and found this marvelous little area, as if sculpted by God's own hand it sits perfectly secluded from the casual viewer. I have seen a few images from this place on the interweb, but not many. And it was not an easy thing to get to. In fact I got my Bronco, it's one of the big ones, not the little ones that are currently flooding the market, buried in blow sand up to the actual floor boards. The thought of paying a tow truck to come out and liberate it from its sandy incarceration wasn't a thrilling thought to me since it would have been at least a day to get someone out there, and a tow bill into the thousands of dollars, so I dug the wheels out and put some large flat rocks on the back of each wheel, put it in reverse and thankfully the 4WD was able get me out! I used a Toyo 45A camera with a Sinaron 150mm lens and a #61 Dark Green filter and Kodak T-Max 100 film.
