Blue Mussel Group and the Barnacle Band

I always enjoy a good visual pun, and having in mind the Blue Man Group I thought this to be a humorous title and what might happen if King Neptune put an entertainment group together. I used a Canon 6D camera with Canon 17-40L lens.

When working in an area like this I like to just wander and try to put all preconceived notions of images I have seen from the area out of my mind so that I can purposely avoid visual mimesis or plagiarism. Though it is probably an inevitability that the conclusion will be that, it is the purpose to avoid it.

BTW, I usually do work in black and white and with film, there are times when color is the better solution. This was one of those times.

Nice shot, Nathan. Just like with all your images, you're really good at seeing a good composition in unplanned designs.

Thank you. I like my photographs, it's nice to know that others do as well.

FS hasn't been notifying of posts lately and I know the site was down for a couple hours yesterday, hence the delayed response.

I agree in your intention of avoiding mimesis vignettes.

And talking about high density housing!
