Are Fall Colors Boring?
The other day, while Harry was walking me around the neighborhood, I was wondering why I was bothering to carry my Nikon when I wasn't photographing anything. The camera seems to get heavier every day (sorta like I keep getting older than my wife, even though we are actually only a few hours apart). Generally speaking, the photographic objective of these walks is to document how the neighborhood changes, but it hasn't been changing much lately, so I haven't been shooting much lately. Harry suggested a shift in perspective might be useful, so I pointed the camera up and continued firing until the buffer was full. It was a very breezy day and there was a lot of movement in the tree.
I imported all 25 images into Photoshop as layers, auto-aligned the image layers, and auto-blended them. After flattening, I cropped it a bit and made some minor adjustments in exposure and color.

This is really beautiful, Andrew. I love it. The contrast of colors and blacks is just right. The composition is lovely too - fanning from the center bottom. Nice work!
Thanks.
FYI, this was the first notification I've seen for a month or so from any group I follow here. I was beginning to think there was an Fstopper-wide issue. Maybe there was, and it has been fixed? Or was it just my account?
I have issues off and on with Fstoppers too - not to mention web-wide. Lol. We humans will eventually get this tech stuff right!
I hear you about the camera Andrew.
I myself find that I am relying more and more on the camera I keep in my pockets, which is also well suited to the type of shots I have been exploring lately.
I think it's great that Harry continues to lead the direction of your creativity, he's a top dog in that respect.
As always, I appreciate that you continue to explore and experiment. This image feels like it could well be a Jackson Pollock take on fall foliage, so well done with that.
As for notifications - I have noticed many times in the past that my notifications fail to do just that, and would encourage you/all to check the group discussions periodically to ensure you catch up on updates.
