More Boring Fall Colors

All of these are combinations of 25-30 sequential images brought into Photoshop as separate layers. I auto-aligned #1, #3, and #4 before auto-blending them. #2 and #5 I only auto-blended. #2 and #3 are different edits of the same image set. The focal length on all of them was 16mm.

The more chaos indicated tells you how much a) the wind was blowing and b) how much Harry was pulling on his leash.

As Neil DeGrasse Tyson says, "Keep looking up!"

Not boring at all, Andrew. I think the wind and Harry both helped you to capture movement. Your editing brought that forward. Nice work and nice colors!

The movement is the interesting thing to me. As they are all handheld with relatively long exposures, I find it impossible to achieve sharp, in-register images. This, then, becomes an exercise in making lemonade. The color is secondary, especially since it is impossible to achieve color accuracy or realism when shooting under street lamps at night.

FYI, today Fstoppers sent me 19 notices, some of which were weeks old. I think this may bring things up-to-date. I wonder if someone with the ability to do something read my post

What a wonderful set of colors! Thank you for explaining your process.

It appears as a variety of styles, Painterly, IR, and that wonderful Abstract Mosaic.

Nice abstract creations Andrew. With the wind and Harry's tugging perhaps you should try drifting into the world of pictorialism.

I hear that Steichen used to shake his tripod to soften images during exposure in the early 1900's. With Harry you have an eager assistant that could help you achieve the same effect!
