Austin, Texas Blue Hour
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!
Two from Tenerife
My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.
Any interest in this group?
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?

How about a mono version, Chloe? ;-) Seriously, though I really do like your mono version, this is such a highly symbolic image that I'd want to give the colour version an aged feel, like an old painting or artifact, and warm up the colour quite a lot, so it doesn't look so clean and literal.
Something more like this? Also, I love the mono version of this, but it is another fair picture so...
I do really love this version.
The re-edit?
Yes.
Yes, very much like this, Chloe. I tried to post an edit very much like yours to illustrate, but FS is having one of its periodic cranky uncooperative phases & won't let me!
Which of your versions do you prefer? There's a cropped fourth one too.
I honestly don’t know. One of my favorites is actually the photo I’ve included down below. But the foreground doesn’t do it any good so I did a retake and got these. I personally like the re-edit and B&W the best from the retakes.
I like this one too, Chloe! For me, the "messy" foreground, like the blown pages, gives this image a more informal, less staged character which has its own appeal.
The colour here is warmer than in your main image, which for me evokes cool and moonlight, less suited to the symbolism of the heart. Of course, some people have a cold heart, but I don't think that's your story here!
I like the same three you do. Great work all round. You have great visual imagination, and your creativity is reflected in the three successful "takes" on the same theme.
Thank you very, very much Chris! I never looked at this photo that way!
I like the re-edited colors better too.
