This is one of the hardest macro shots i've ever taken !!
the size of the spider is about 2mm !!
and was taken with Canon 600D using 18-55mm kit with reverse ring `
you can see the photo below shot for behind the scene `
Such a tiny sliver of focus at that mag, but it looks like you hit it in the right spot. Looks like a tiny Wolf spider to me. Do you find an advantage of a reverse ring to tubes? I always use tubes on a zoom lens to keep control of aperture and focus.
The focus area was so tight ! but i got the eyes haha
not at all, never used tubes, or even a macro lens in my life lol, i've been all the time with minimal equipment till now, and i just used to reverse lens, but tubes is better i guess since you have more control .
I get the shooting on a budget, I've been there. I used tube for over year before getting a real macro lens. For the money I was always happy with the results. A reverse lens always seemed like you are risking a lot of dirt getting on the rear element and lens mount. Then if you use the lens normally you could be putting it right into the camera body and sensor. For only a few dollars more they seem like better option to me. Plus you cam keep control of the lens.
