a question of toning

I am playing about with the toning of some recent ICM images. Any preferences on color as well as the image itself?
As usual, I'd ask for your initial reaction prior to any analysis. All feedback appreciated.

The second one has the best color.

Thanks Matthew, I appreciate your input.

My initial reaction was, "Wow, I love that lavender!' I thought it was the only one. Then I kept scrolling and saw the 2nd in teal and thought, "Oh I like that tone so much better, so peaceful." Although I think it could be a tad brighter.

All three are great but the 2nd really speaks to me.

I saw in another post you said you try to retain the essence of your subject and it shows here for sure. The upward motion of the "spikes" compliments the mast on the left and makes it seem like it could go on forever. It reminds me or beaming up on Star Trek. :)

Thanks Bruce. Your thoughtful and kind feedback is appreciated.

Myself definitely third deeper more mood, could be eerie tree marsh. First has too much definition a bit boaty.. Second i'm just not feeling it like the third.

Thanks for your input Tony. It's interesting to hear such varied viewpoints.

Image 1 for colour. image 3 for energetic mood.

Thanks Vijay - i appreciate your comments.

I like the first one best both for the color and I like that they look slightly more boat like that the other two.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
