I mentioned to Alyssa that I wanted to shoot in a location with natural light and concrete walls/floors (thinking a warehouse vibe). She said her apartment was like that! Next thing you know, we're at her apartment making some of my favorite all time images. I hope you like this one.
This is not a good shot in the way we ould normally think of but I at least the got the eye dead sharp of this 5-7 day old Wood Pigeon which we have done our best to protect both parents.

I hate the term "fine art" but I don't know what else exactly to call these besides just black and white.
I spotted this blackbird tucked among the leaves. Unlike most birds, it didn’t flinch when I raised my camera it simply stayed put, almost as if it was posing for the shot.
This is deeply meaningful to me. Surviving and blossoming despite all attempts to stop me blossoming on my own terms.
