Sirmione and Lake Garda

I'd like to share with you my weekend shots, they were taken in Sirmione, a city on the Lake Garda, in Italy. I discovered the municipality launched a photographic competition with two themes: Sirmione and Lake Garda.

The weather was mostly cloudy, so I took my camera with me and tried to get some nice shots, but realized that probably...

All the Light There Is

This is my first post to the group, and it is one of my favorite ICM images. I've been primarily focused on ICM (intentional camera movement) landscapes for the past couple years, so my portfolio only reflects this kind of work. It is my passion, and I love to create in the landscape in this way.

This is a hand held, in-camera,...

First Long Exposure

This was from my first attempt out taking long exposure shots. It's taken at Bayers Lake in Halifax, Nova Scotia where there is loads of traffic. I went out to practice while my girlfriend shopped!

Love to hear your thoughts, criticism or thoughts on what I could do to make it better.

Thanks!
JMac

My take on the ‘Drone Halo’ shot

Almost everyone I know who has a drone has had a go at using it to light paint a landmark, usually by programming a circle around a nice landmark somewhere. So, in an effort to differentiate my own take on it, I bought a drone big enough to lift a 1.5m light bar...

Any ideas as to where I can take this concept in the future are much...

Different shades of blue

I don't usually do this kind of photography but thought i'd give it a go on a gloomy morning on the beach. 10 stop ND, 4 Minute exposure. Thoughts?

NeoTokyo 2019

Shot from Sunshine 60 Tower in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. This is one of the best locations for shooting light trails from above, as most high observation decks in Tokyo don't allow tripods, but this place not only allows tripods, but has very tall windows that allow you to block out the glare from internal lighting.

Anyway, this shot made me...

Candle Lights

Wanted to try and experiment with long exposure and it's affect on candles. I think it turned out pretty cool. About 200 people appeared in this shot.

Apollo 11 Rocket, Washington Monument

On July 20 2019, on the 50th anniversary of the landing on the moon, a stimulation of the Saturn V rocket was projected onto the Washington monument. Then there was a ~15 min show video show demonstrating the entire mission -- take off till splash down in the pacific -- all projected onto the monument. These are a few of the images I was able...

Portland Head Lighthouse

Long exposure of the Portland Head Lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth Maine. One of my favorite places I have photographed. Wish I lived closer to this landmark. It's quite a long drive from North Carolina!

Serene

These are few of my takes on the rocky mountains. Weather permitting, I could have bettered the composition. Nevertheless, they are pleasing ones. Maybe the next time.
