Hope Cove, Devon

Hi, new to the group and thought I would post this shot of hope cove in Devon. I use Olympus micro four thirds cameras and lenses. I am looking forward to being in the group and seeing your photo's and learning from them. All comments welcome as I'm here to learn.

All the best, John.

Good evening John. different part of the world at the moment. Firstly welcome, cannot say that I have been to Hope Cove, but we have been to Slapton.

I like your photo John. Only thing I would add is, take a few more images during sunrise when you have all those wonderful colours bursting through the sky and compare your photos. I have been to the north coast of Devon on numerous occasion to capture sunset but never in the South for sunrise.

Best wishes
Elan

Thanks very much Élan, much appreciated. Your right I could have chosen a better time to take the shot, it does lack colour.

Hi John,

Nice, moody composition. I like it. And although I have never owned the four-thirds system, somehow I've always felt that the 4:3 aspect ratio is just right (me, Nikon, 3:2). I noticed it was raining on the right half of the horizon. Do you think you could bring that out a bit more in post to add some more drama to the scene?

Sid

Thanks Sid, appreciate your comments. I used to be Canon all the way but changed to Olympus four thirds for the weight. I love the fact that I can carry more gear without having to lug a heavy bag about. I see what you mean about the rain, however my photoshop skills are fairly limited.
