View of the Lavander fields near Valensole in Provence (south of France) during a nice sunet.
We choose the best week-end to go, as the blooming was at maximal intensity.
I used focus stacking technique to have sharpness all accross the frame with my 50-140 mm, this shot was taken at 90mm.
Nice picture, but I think it needs some more work.
I would crop out the botton 1/3. Think you have got som fine lines of lavender, but the botton disturbes this.
I would also work a little more with colors to match your title "Color explosion". The picture is more pastell then an explosion of colors.
I like this picture, but as mentioned it needs som more post processing.
I like this picture, but I too am disturbed by the bottom third as it breaks up the pattern. There also appears to be shadows across much of the image that will be hard to deal with. I do like the lone tree in the back as it provides something for your view to get to after following the rows.
Hello,
thanks both for your much appreciated comments, to answer, I wanted to do something different because :
1) the other photographers are all shooting the lavanders in landscape and wide format.
2) the other photographers are all over saturating colors from lavanders fields.
3) All bluring the foreground as they don't know how to do focus stacking ;)
4) all are centering the tree(s) on a line ...
So I decided to find something a bit different from what we normally see.
Don't forget to take my comment with a grain of salt ;)
Have a nice day.
