good, bad or indifferent?

For me they are underexposed. Try to open the shadows

thanks Vito i think your right i didn't bracket so i may have screwed up the sun just seemed to be rising at such a fast pace it would have been manageable if i had a wide angle lens instead of doing a pano

No need for bracketing, they're all underexposed by at least 1 stop.

Fixable or reshoot?

99% fixable.

ok ill email you the raw file so you can tell me where i went amiss

Got your e-mail, here's a quick edit. I'll upload the PS file to my FTP later so you can have a look.

thanks Thorsten i think my issue besides the fact that i like dark pictures is that i might be overusing/misusing the curves slider trying to bring in drama and losing the detail

That's what I use a gradient map for, I remember mentioning that a couple of months ago.

you did im just acquiring so much knowledge that i forget some stuff

I prefer the first one, I really like the pattern and streaking of the clouds in the sky, as well as the blues. The foreground seems a little lackluster, maybe a little vignetting to draw you in to the stream which will then lead you to the horizon?

thanks Sam i knew you'd like the over saturated sky lol but your right the mid ground and for ground need some more punch ill get back at it

Maybe something like this. Nice scene Joseph!
I agree with others regarding underexposing.

Thanks Radisa I’ll keep working on it
