i did just receive my first non kit lens in the mail today weather wasn't perfect for a low light test but i went out 20min ago non the less it is now 9:20 and im just posting not by any means a good photo just an amount of excitement for what im going to be able to do this is a straight out of camera shot of the night sky i can't wait for the stars...
you can see the lens in my gear bag its the only one lol for now
and the edit to bring out the stars
new lens new opportunities...

Nice choice! My ultra-wide lens became my immediate favorite when I got it. You'll see a HUGE difference between this and your kit lens.
It’s mindblowing to see the difference a good lens makes in the right hands. I still can’t believe how fast and sharp my nikkor lenses are. It’s never been so easy to take images I’m happy with, haha.

Cheers and let the beautiful photos flow! How do you feel the focusing? For me it still feels so different than anything else. I've just got used to the samyang 85, but this is a whole different thing..
Only taken it out 2 times once at night and this morning before sunrise in the snow I will get back to you and hopefully I will have something to share in group tonight
