Hi all, took these during a recent snowstorm in Washington, DC. Would love to get some toughts on them. Hoping to get a few more snowy days here this year!
take a look at @irishtexanphoto on instagram he is one of the best monument shooters I've seen might give you some inspiration on lighting angles and comps that you could try
Thanks for the tip! Just checked him out and he's got some incredible stuff - definitely helps to have even more motivation to keep looking for new compositions and better light.
Yeah, the heavy cloud cover created some interesting lighting conditions at sunrise. We don't get too many good snowy days in DC, but hoping their are a couple more opportunities for it this year.
I love the first two, would maybe clone out the branch thats touching the middle-top part of the washington monument on the first one. Color toning is great.
Thanks for the suggestion and critique! I thought about cloning it out originally, but decided it didn't bother me too much. Maybe I'll give it a try and see if it feels a bit less distracting. Considered doing the same for the branches coming up from the bottom of the second shot, but figured I'd see what others thought.
The first two with "natural" framing are fantastic!
Thanks Radisa!
Agree eith Radisa, and I love the 4th, with those amazing clouds and the birds!
The third is the weakest in this series. The background is distracting.
Thanks for the feedback Oren!

by the way the reflections off the water are a really nice color contrast with the blue and gold
