If you’re looking to do star trails, you just need to do a series of 25-30 second exposures and combine them together, so the ambient light shouldn’t be a problem. Also, don’t be dumb like me and forget to take a separate exposure for any lights in the foreground. It just takes a long time, so dress warm and bring something to do while you wait.

The stars in this one look pretty good, at least one my phone. Once you find an interesting foreground, you’ll be golden.

The interesting foreground is my biggest issue I’m going to have to search lo

Ambitious Joseph, this time around you got Orion, too ;-)

Nice to see Orion! Try to get some longer exposures to get more detail of the night sky. now, specially when it's small it looks like if the sky is completely black. Also if you get a longer exposure you can have more detail of the tree line and river at the bottom.

Clouds, color and movement of them is very pretty! :)

Thanks Freek

Panos and star trails don't really work by the way.

Yes I just learned that lesson lmao
