The Melt is on at Buntzen Lake

Buntzen Lake was formed by the creation of a hydro-electric dam. It is a fantastic recreational hiking area. For whatever reason they didn't log the area first, leaving rotting trees poking out of the water at the south end.

I am open to all critique. I know this is the best way to improve.

I was disappointed not to receive any feedback on this post. Anybody?

Hi Scott, forgive the question but is this a long exposure shot in very low almost dark light?

XT-2 F22 1/50 72mm XC-50-230 12:19 pm March 17. Handheld but braced against the chain link fencing.

Interesting. The lighting in this photo is really different. I've never been this far north so that must be the difference. I think it looks like a long exposure taken right after sunset as the shadows are deep and long and the colors are rich but have no warmth of daylight. The focus is pretty sharp from front to back. All had me thinking long exposure, low light - not noon in March!

I think it looks really cool. I like the effect and that observation is not criticism. I like the composition. Over all, nicely done!

I don't have anything specific to give for improvements. I hope someone else chimes in too. The image is intriguing.
