I liked this very simple view, with no headlands, no islands, not even a bird. I made the image for my own satisfaction, thinking most people would find it a "nothing shot".
To my surprise, two people chose it to have printed for them out of about a thousand images. I can never tell who will like what, even among people I know well.
I can stare at the sky all day, so I find it interesting. Looking at this I am almost surprised you didn't crop the boats completely out of my picture on the other discussion! :)
I think that despite not having other items in the picture, the clouds are really dynamic. Also, the clouds take me right to left and the waves bring be back to the right. I think the other thing that is nice is that you have caught more blues than grey.

I can see that Chris. The coloring s beautiful and the clouds hold enough interest to evoke a mood in the viewer
