Sassolungo peaks in Dolomites.
Photographed at about the same time at sunrise. Once from the west side, the other day from the east side. Similar conditions, almost cloudless, slightly fog on both sides of the mountain.
Would be interesting to hear your opinion which photo better corresponds to your sensibilities?
The second by far.
I like them equally for different reasons
1 is moody and I love moody
2 is just a typical well placed nicely light well arranged shot typically what most people want to see
I’ll make a rendering of how I would deal with 1 if I shot it in a bit I’m on my phone now both excellent shots Radica
here is my edit i wanted to see about making the intensity stronger and the shadows cooler for more drama let me know if you hate it
I like the atmosphere and soft tones in the first.
It would have been nice to get some light on the mountains, though I fully understand that given the angle this may not have been possible.
Interesting how you've managed to give the two a very similar composition, Radisa. I don't know if that was deliberate, but if so it's very clever! The first corresponds more to my sensibilities, but the second has its own appeal, with that warm light on the peaks, and the cool gush of mist. Excellent work, as ever from you.
I like the first one because the warm golden glow is beautiful.
I like your first picture the most because I am more partial to the warm colors the sun is giving off on the entire scene. Thanks for sharing!
I like them both, but the bottom one is more lush.
Thank you all for participating in this topic. It is nice to see a variety of thoughts and remarks, but it seems that the first photo in counter-light picked up more "supporters"!
