I arrived at this scene a few months ago hoping to make an exposure. It was an area I had long wished to shoot at sunrise but never found the opportunity to visit. On this day after setting up my camera and fine tuning my composition a man came and sat under the tree seemingly to reflect on his thoughts. My first reaction was to kindly ask him to give me a few minutes to take the photo but when I looked closer I realized that his presence added another element to the composition which made the scene seem to tell more of a pleasing story which not only connected with me but I knew would connect with anyone who saw the image.
