AKA Agathla Peak. I captured this shot a few days ago. First time I planned a day around photography, so I decided to go check out Monument Valley. This was on my way there. I love the lighting in this photo. I took several and this one really jumped out the most.
I can see why you love the lighting - it is stunning! This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it.
:)
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Thank you for pointing out yet another location on my Bucket List. Very nice, although I think you could crop a little off the top for a wider image that highlights the wide open spaces of the American West.
I also think this would look spectacular in B&W. Quick edit:
Even though i almost always prefer black and white, i think this one is better in color. the crop is a good suggestion though.
I like the b&w edit. I like the crop suggestion too. Thank you.
For once, Mr Monochrome, I agree with you! Reluctantly...
LOL!
Yes, it's a captivating image, Jere! Well done. Your best yet, I think. The composition is just right, adding to the majesty of this El Cap - one I'd never heard of before. Your image reminds me of one of my favourite images by John Sexton, of Shiprock, NM. Google and ye shall find.
Thank you.
Well, come to find out, it’s not officially called El Capitan. Which I thought it was. I guess its just what the locals call it, because thats what I was taught growing up. Its also known as Agathla Peak.
