Interesting choice, though I feel like this kind of scene screams for a wider aspect ratio. Those mountains need a little breathing room on the left and right.

Thank you for showing snow as white instead of gray. :)

Interesting comment and I do have some different perspectives for example showing more of the water but that being said one doesn't go to war with the army they wish for but the tools they have!

At my personal perception, was getting the impression of busy composition. But after this "what", was getting stuck at "how". learnt many good things from Phillips observations. thanks.

It must have been something to be there for this, Mark! Beautiful scene.

Reflecting on the others' comments, I wonder if there is just too much in this image, so it looks jam-packed, albeit with good stuff. It's difficult with this classic subject not to want to show the mountains in all their glory, "Grand" as they are.

You were at the wide end of your zoom; I imagine myself in your place at this scene, and think I'd have been tempted to also pick out more selected areas, perhaps sacrificing the interesting (but busy) foreground rocks & pool, and keeping just the layered trees and the mountains above. Those trees warrant a close-up in themselves, especially perhaps if the mist covered the mountain backdrop at some point. And you can fake a wider lens with stitching.

Sure, perfectly reasonable suggestion. More than one way to skin a cat!
