I had been waiting for the weather to change so I could get out and shoot some landscapes in fog. After a series of misses, I found this location enveloped in dense fog just as it was rising.
Nice job, Alan! Even I am moved to make the inevitable suggestion of a monochrome version (as well, not instead). I am fond of subdued colour like this - often the way nature really looks.
Inevitable minds think alike. I have a copy in B&W but at this point prefer the color version as I feel those subtle tones you mention better convey the mood.
I may work the monochrome version a little and post later.
Excellent capture Alan. I really like the depth here, foreground grasses create a nice 'anchor', followed by the one tree which while still in the mist provides a great middle ground subject, then lastly the misty background trees drifting in and out of clarity. Nice work as usual.
