Suggestions and improvement

Hi everyone,
As written in the photo description already this is an old shot of mine of a characteristic spot in Tenerife Island.
I took this shot some time ago and decided to edit it now, unfortunately i had only jpeg files to work on so the recovery of the highlights in the long exposed water was nearly impossible.
I would gladly like to ear any impression and suggestion on composition and technical mistake i might have done..
