A shaft of sunlight breaks through a broody sky, painting light on a stand of fall trees.
After an amount of time and several near misses I was finally rewarded with this opportunity.
Feedback and critical comments both welcomed and appreciated.
Nice layering in this Alan. I like difference in color and texture.
One thought is that there is no subject in the image. My eye didn't no where to go. Darn wandering eye!
I couldn't resist a little playing as I wondered if putting in a focal lighting from cloud opening to the ground which might give the image a focal point. I tried it. I don't think I did a great job not do I know if it is a good idea or not! But it is fun to try. :)
I use Polarr. For a less expensive software package, it is pretty flexible. And it works on chromebooks. I highly recommend it and I think they have a first month free thing. :)

Alan I have to agree with Ruth it lacks a subject, it has some values but is lacking to make a great photo (sorry).
Gosh Ruth that is some eye and skill you have. I love the edit! What software were you using to get this effect?
