This is the first sunrise my friend Bryce and I experienced in Los Glaciares National Park, and I would consider it to be on of the best displays of light I've experienced when on a photography trip. The subtle light in clouds matching the sun-kissed peak of Fitz Roy, which also matches the autumn colours in the foreground. This morning was also dead calm, which is extremely rare when in Patagonia. It's absolutely crazy how life can thrive in such an insane place. However, this morning put me over the edge as I struggled with finding a comp. I even got to the point of ripping my tripod leg off and tossing it 😂 Even this shot I thought would be a throwaway, simply due to the ridge on the left throwing the image out of balance. All worked out however as the clouds on the right direct the eye to the peak, and along with the shape of the grass it created an X frame. thanks for reading!
That is an amazing shot! It feels 3D when zoomed in. I give it a 5 star. Thanks for sharing
Wow! Worth the trip. Your foreground coloring is a fine complement to the light on Fitzroy.
Excellent shot! Love the warm colors in the foreground !
