Twilight on Quonochontaug Pond in Rhode Island.

I found this spot on the Rhode Island shore by asking a fisherman I met near where we were staying. I've found that asking the local folks where we travel about the best places to find good locations for photography almost always works out quite well and saves time. Especially fishermen. Usually early in the morning or at sunset the only other people I see are fishermen, as a matter of fact.

What a sky, Bill! Question... is it coincidence that the rocks seem to match the light in the sky or did you tweak the settings to get the repetition of colors?

In any case... I like the effect. :)

The rocks were wet and reflected the colors of the sky as well as the shadows that appear after the sun sets.

Oh wow. Of course, makes total sense. What a neat catch. I think of the reflections on wet pavement... of course that's happening in nature, too. :)
