This Crew Made a Music Video on Set When the Client Wasn't Looking and the Results Are Hilarious

Best idea ever? The crew over at Droptree Productions took every chance on breaks and in between takes to capture clips for a ridiculous (and amazing) music track, just for funsies. And we love funsies. It's not just a lip dub of a popular track either, it's all about film production and has everything from a fresh beat to a rippin' guitar solo from a dude with a giant beard. Stop what you're doing and watch this.

Complete with pro tips, I was tempted to mark this video as educational.

In all seriousness, keeping things fun on set is a surefire way to keep a crew happy and easy to work with. Week long stretches of production can make anybody delirious, so coming up with creative ways to inject some energy into a project can keep folks motivated. What better way to do that than to create another piece of art on the side? Very cool stuff.

With set pieces that already have lights, fog, aerials, or other cinematic attributes, it's awesome to see some silliness happen. Data is relatively cheap compared to film, so it's much easier to roll another take just for fun while you're working.

If you want even more laughs, check out Droptree's retro website. It's so cringeworthy, it's amazing.

If you feel like working out, then maybe this video would work for you instead:

I kind of can't believe how perfect this is.

Best thing I've seen this week :)

Damn that was good

that is awesome.

haha that was so awesome!!!

How in the world did they do this? They wrote a song about using a blow bee on set and traveled with guitars everywhere? Too good

- Take people with talent
- Let them do their thing with no pressure
- Get awesome results

No gear was harmed during the recording...(almost) Great video, vrek funny

Wonderful. A bit of talent there.

this seriously amazing in so many ways. how can you not smile watching this!

Why am I not surprised to see that this crew did a video with Con Bro Chill? Those guys know how to have fun, especially making videos for their songs. Don't know if Droptree was involved with this one, but this is one of my favs from Con Bro Chill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NfsDLRT46M

Best music video i've seen all year, hands down! So funny!!

this is F***ING amazing !!!!!!

You all are over-reacting. No this is not "The best thing you've seen all week" nor is it "f*cking amazing" You can keep having your buddies create accounts and comment good things on your video, but other than the fact that there was barely any lip-syncing at all (which is what music videos do) this was boring, unprofessional, but I guess it was a pretty good effort and idea. Cheers
