Coming to you from Landscape Photography iQ with Tom Mackie, this awesome video tutorial will show you how he approaches and shoots a cityscape photo. Cityscapes can be a ton of fun to shoot, and just like landscapes, they offer you a range of creative ways to render any single scene. As with landscapes, one thing to remember is to experiment with focal lengths a bit. Wide angles are normally the focal length of choice in such situations (and for good reason), but using a telephoto to pick off a single interesting element can be a nice change of pace from normal shots, and it allows you to get more take-home images from a single scene.
