A lot of people generally think of Photoshop as the place for intense edits, and no doubt, for the most involved and complex edits, you should absolutely choose Photoshop over Lightroom. That being said, you can accomplish a lot more than you might initially think in Lightroom, particularly with some of its recent updates and newer features. I like to avoid taking an edit over to Photoshop if I can. However, no matter where you edit your photos, just remember not to overdo the edit; it is a good idea to step away from your computer for a minute or two and come back with fresh eyes for a final evaluation before you export your photos.
