While out on a winter’s morning walk on any other morning we probably would have scared the crap out of each other but not this morning. Our encounter was quiet and calm. I saw this Desert Cottontail from a few yards away while it was feeding and slightly slowed my pace. As I continued on my path the rabbit saw me and took a few shoot steps while continuing to browse. I match it’s slow unassuming pace while enjoying the encounter. I took my camera, out stretched my arm from my side somewhere between my hip and my thigh bending slightly I aimed the lens and checked the camera’s position and angle and pressed the shutter a few times.
