The photo shows the flooded Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia at dawn. When I took this shot there was no wind, no noise - absolute silence. At the break of dawn the mystic place was converted into a sea of colors.

Paul, you are absolutely right. The Salar is kind of special due to the lack of size comparison, even there are the islands in this photo which provide some sense of scale. It is a great place to do perspective photography
