This photo was taken at Valley of Dreams, located in Ah-Shi-Sle-Pha Wilderness area, New Mexico. The vast majority of the photos taken there feature the famous Alien Throne. However, I believe this desert location deserves better. There are many otherworldly formations to explore. This shot was taken after sunset when the soft light accentuated the delicate structure of the mudstone formations.
