Dressed in Static

This portrait was built around the physical presence of an old television, using hard colored light and a steep diagonal composition to make the scene feel deliberately unstable. The screen becomes almost another body in the frame, pressed close to the subject while the cable remains visible instead of being hidden. I wanted the technology to feel intrusive rather than decorative, while the magenta and blue light separate the figure from the darkness. The result sits somewhere between fashion portraiture and a more uneasy relationship between the body and the machine.
