Boylan Street Bridge

The view from the Boylan Street Bridge in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.

This was shot at 24mm f/11. 6. shot vertical panorama. Its also a composite of sorts. I was lucky enough to catch the Amtrak going through in one frame, so I composited it in to my final image.

This was shot a blue hour as the buildings were starting to light up. I stayed and captured some frames when it was nearly dark to get more lights to composite into the final image. I also replaced the sky as the sunsets behind me in this location and the sunset I got was kind of lack luster.

I recently cashed in on some winnings from one of the CTCs and got Mike Kelley's sky library. I am 1000% satisfied with it. I used this image to practice some of the techniques Mike goes over in the lessons. Even with all the AI getting the sky to blend in behind the crane and all of the little spaces in the buildings is a challenge. It's not perfect. There's a few spots that need to be slightly cleaned up, and if I were to print this I would take the time to do it. But overall I am very satisfied with this.

Looking forward to continuing to play around with some more advanced sky replacements and see what I can come up with.
