Assets On Demand: Introducing Requests From Motion Array

Assets On Demand: Introducing Requests From Motion Array

Motion Array has been hard at work adding new features recently. For example, they recently came out with a video portfolio site builder. With this feature, any paid subscriber can create a custom site to show their video work, complete with text, images, and contact information (all editable). Users can even use their own custom domain or have one supplied by Motion Array. But now, Motion Array is at it again with Requests. Essentially, any paid member of the Motion Array community can put in a request for any type of creative asset that Motion Array offers.

Let’s say you are are a wedding photographer who does a lot of work on the beach. You want a video slideshow After Effects template based around the ocean, and you can’t find one. You can put in a request to have one made to match your needs. Or maybe you are a videographer working on a crime drama, and you need a set of gritty-textured transitions in a Premiere Pro template. Just put in a request, and you may get exactly what you are asking for from several contributors.

Trying this new feature is easy. A user will start by clicking on the “Request” button, located at the top of the site. The first thing they will see is a list of all of the current open requests. This will give them a chance to check to see if a similar request is already up and to upvote any open requests that they find interesting. Upvoting will give producers a better idea of what most people are interested in.

When they want to submit a new request of their own, they simply hit the “Submit Request” button and put in some basic information. All that’s needed is a title, a description of the request, and a category like Premiere Pro template or stock video.

After the request gets submitted, it’s reviewed by Motion Array team members. They check for appropriate content and duplicate requests before publishing the request on the site. Once the request is live, all Motion Array producers can see it and decide if they want to make an asset to fulfill the request.

After a request is fulfilled, the user who made the request and any user that upvoted the request will receive an automatic email letting them know that the request has been fulfilled. In some cases, a request may be fulfilled by several producers, giving members even more choices for their creative needs.

Motion Array is always trying to find ways to better serve our community, and we think Requests is just another tool that will help our members find exactly what they are looking for.

Several requests have already been filled by producers, and the feature seems to be having a strong start. Below are a few examples of fulfilled requests.

Motion Array is a five year-old creative marketplace and video production resource that incorporates a subscription model instead of a per download model. Users can pick from a range of memberships options that offer different download counts and access to the over 11,000 assets in the library. Additionally, the simple license structure allows a user to download a product once and use it forever on any type of project. Categories include After Effects templates, Premiere Pro templates, stock music, stock video, and stock motion graphics.
