X Marks the Spot

After getting my hands on a D850, I decided to take it for a spin at a popular photography spot in Tokyo.

I was shocked to find that the bridge was under construction, but luckily there was still plenty of space to set up my camera and get this shot. I'm not a huge fan of obstructing people, so rather than using my tripod, I used the bridge itself as my tripod. Luckily I was able to get it level!

I wasn't sure how it would turn, but it definitely surpassed my expectations.

Another amazing shot keep up the good work!

Thanks! I really appreciate it. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of loving it, then thinking I should re-edit it, to finally accepting it, haha.

Awesome shot, Jordan. Although the leading lines go out of the frame it's a great composition. Actually the lines are the subject itself and not leading to the subject.

I’m glad you like it. This is a super popular spot for photographers (there were 4 other people with cameras next to me on a Wednesday!). Most people go for a shot where they have a dozen or so lines crisscrossing, so I decided to go with a unique clean look with leading lines.
I know they go off frame, but I thought they did a good enough job leading the eye while complementing the bends in the river.

its a beauty mate!
